My U.S. trip is round the corner and I have to start paying for the fees for Air Tickets and Accomodations.
Air tickets is S$2270.00 which is due on 13 March 2008 (Thursday). so from 13 March onwards, I will have to start paying, and my pockets will start to be tighter and tighter. Sigh.
By 25th March, we will have to pay for our Accomodations in U.S. Which is around S$2,150.00. And there goes my money, S$4,420.00 will be gone just like that. There after, I will still have to pay for my interview at U.S. Embassy, which is for my Visa. That will be another S$100.00. Don't know when can I earn back so much money.
Went for my orientation in school yesterday to understand more about what are the things we need to do for our overseas residency, since most of us are very new to overseas residency, at least for me. knowing that I will have to study from Monday till Friday from 9am till 12 noon and from 2pm till 5.30pm. Satruday might have lessons and might have night lessons too. From what I hear, it seems just like myself working in U.S. Luckily we still have field trips. We will have a one day trip to the Salty Plains and a half day trip to the TV Studio in U.S. I believe it will be an eye opener for myself.
Staying in the Residency Inn, we will have to do our own laundry and cooking to say cost. this it's also a cost for us to learn to be independent. Although I'm already quite, but think this will make myself more independent. I was quite excited hearing Leo (oneof the co-ordinator in OCU) that we will be having a very splee and delicious BBQ session at our residency once a week, and he said that it is a very good one. Let's see how good is it when I reached there. Haha. We will also be able to sign up for after school programs, which OCU have arranged for us. They have buses sending us there and fetching us back to hotel. Thumbs up for their service, MDIS should learn a lot from them. Haha.
We will have a chance to travel to Dallas on one of the Saturday and shop till we drop, exclaimed Dr. Harmon. I was told it's one of the biggest shopping mall in Dallas with more than 200 stores under a roof with all the wonderful branded and up-scale specialty goods there. Some of them that was listed are GAP, Louis Virtton, Gucci, Ambercombe (forgive me for spelling mistake coz I am too lazy to check for correct spelling). Woo. I think I'll go broke there. Haha.
Everything shall be rather settled by end of March. And by then, I will have to start packing and getting all my stuff that I need for the one month plus U.S. trip. I might need to borrow a couple of things from friends to sustain my stay at U.S. Hope friends will help.
yet again, anyone want anything from U.S., please let me know and imburse me with the estimated amount of money to buy if not I think I won't have enough money to survive till end of the course and trip. Hee.
